Armson Pro Series Paintball Barrel Review
The Armson Pro Series barrel reviewed here is made with 6061 T-6 aircraft aluminum construction, Polygon Progressive Internal Rifling, and a specially designed Barrel Vent to properly vent unspent CO2. Available in 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, and 16 inch length. For the Automag, Puma, Shocker, VM68, WGP, and perhaps others. Summary: The Pro Series is an accurate, durable barrel with good range, and doesn't break paint. It is loud, not self cleaning, and has questionable ease of cleaning. Reviews When you read a barrel's reviews, patterns can be seen. The following points have been compiled from various Pro Series reviews. From 25 of 31 reviews: Strengths • This Armson barrel has good range and great accuracy with the right paint. • The Pro-Series is solid and durable. • This Armson barrel doesn't break paint with the right paintballs. • $50 Weaknesses • The Pro-Series is loud due to the small amount of porting; one player was always being checked for his ball speed because he was loud. But, some players are not bothered by loud and even like it since it is intimidating. • This Armson is heavy. • The Pro Series barrel does not self clean. You have to squeegee the barrel or it will curve everywhere. Comments • There were mixed reviews on ease of cleaning. Some thought this Armson barrel was easy, some thought not bad, some thought hard to clean. A squeegee gets the paint out, and the rifling isn't an issue; there are no porting holes to clean out. One player thought the front end was too big for a regular squeegee to clean. • The Pro-Series is a larger bore barrel and needs larger paint.
