The Dye Excel paintball barrel is constructed with high-grade aluminum and is honed to micro tolerances. The single-tube design and straight porting make the Xcel barrel a quiet and accurate addition to your marker.

Summary: This barrel shoots pretty accurate, is quiet, and doesn't break paintballs. It is a good upgrade from stock, but it is hard to clean and not self-cleaning, and it will lose accuracy after a break.

• This Dye is hard to clean with lots of port holes.

• The Excel is not self cleaning; don't expect the accuracy to come back after you break a ball. One player reported that unless you wash out the paint with water and dry it completely, the left-over paint in the port holes will cause the balls to curve. Squeegee alone won't do it.
